British School Muscat
OMAN
The British School Muscat has expanded dramatically over the past few years and now has over 1200 pupils covering the ages of 3 up to 18. We have almost 50 nationalities represented within our school with the biggest percentage being British at around 40%.
BSM has been a keen entrant in the BSME Games since the Primary Games were first held in 2003. We have participated in the U13 BSME Games since 2012 hosting the event 3 times including last year where we were very proud to have been runners up. We have also participated in every U15 Games since it’s conception and we were delighted to have been involved again in the U15 event held in November 2018.
Every year the BSME Games is a tremendous event to be involved in and I sure that this year’s event will build on previous events and take the experience for the students to even higher levels. We are bringing 23 students and 4 teachers but our goal is as much for the students to have an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives, meeting students from our schools and forming new friendships as it is to worry too much about the winning of the event again - although that would be nice.
Like all teams, our students have trained hard to ensure they can give their best at these games. I genuinely wish the very best for all the schools taking part over the weekend.
Good Luck to all participating schools from the teachers and students at BSM
